20110110 Nation Dali High School visit
We visited the Nation Dali High School in Taiwan from Dec 26-29. Our school has been working with this school whereby our students participated in Video Conferencing sessions with students in Taiwan. The video conferencing technology enabled the students from both schools to participate in real time live discussions and other activities such as .....musical, debates and open discussions forums.
During our trip we discussed other future opportunities :
o The student exchange programme – This programme is expected to enable students from our school to attend classes at the Nation Dali school and vice versa. This programme will also enable the students to learn about other culture and also learn about the other education systems.
o Holding a music camp, which is expected to be scheduled in very near future. This camp is expected to enable students from both schools to participate in musical activities at a single location as well as using the Video Confencing technology remotely.
In addition to that, during the trip we were introduced to National Yuanlin Vocational High School of Home Economics and Business and Lin's College. Both schools are very much interested in similar exchange programmes. This kind of exchange programmes with several schools and colleges has proven to broaden the horizon of our students and assist in the thinking process from a global point of view.
