Astronomy and Ecology Camp
Organized by the Astronomy and Environmental Science Club, some S4 and S6 students participated in the Astronomy and Ecology Camp on Cheung Chau from 25th to 26th Feb 2011. The aim of this camp is to promote students’ interest and provide hands-on experience in the field of astronomy and ecology.
Astronomy
The staff at Caritas Chan Chun Ha Field Studies Centre taught us about the exciting world of outer space. We have learnt about moons, planets, asteroids and comets. All of us enjoyed the outdoor activity very much; and all have become amateur astronomers to observe the sky on that night.
Ecology
In the morning, we were excited to discover the local species of insects on Cheung Chau. We also performed practical work to find out the adaptive features of different insects in the natural habitats. We hope we can join similar activities sooner or later.
